What is Homeopathy?
HOMEOPATHY is a complete system of medicine
developed over 200 years ago by a German doctor,Samuel Hahnemann from methods
used by the Ancient Greek physician Hippocrates, the Father of Medicine,
who first worked on the principle that 'Like Cures Like'. It soon spread to
England and America and today is used widely around Europe and worldwide to
treat all sorts of chronic and acute conditions.
It works well in conjunction with conventional
medicines and cannot cause side effects. Remedies are made from small,
specially prepared doses of herbs and minerals and are usually taken in tablet
form.
Patients regularly report benefits after using
homeopathy with all sorts of health problems including hormonal and emotional
conditions, skin, digestive and sinus complaints as well as allergies and
children's ailments from colic to sleeping problems and recurrent infections.
Remedies are chosen to suit the individual as well
as the disease, taking into account the patient's symptoms, past history,
mental and emotional stress and family constitution, so it is particularly
suitable in treating problems which defy conventional diagnosis or which don't
repond to orthodox medicine.
